Wheel Repair

The following is done on all wheels that come in for repair.

·         Sand blast

·         Visual inspection

·         Magnetic particle inspection

·         Determine problems

·         We can repair the following

o   Replace gutter section

o   Replace back section

o   Replace disc

o   Some minor pitting

o   Rethread or replace puller hole or puller nuts

o   Repair cracks in gutter or back section weld

o   Rework valve holes or move a valve hole

o   Move the disc for a specific offset requirements

·         Inspect work that has been completed

·         Prep for paint

·         Primer coat

·         Final color paint coat (can be to OEM specs or any color requested by customer)

·         All wheels are branded following repair

·         We also have a recertification program for our customers

o   We will inspect the wheels

o   If there are no defects we will

§  Sand blast, prep for paint, prime and paint.  These wheels are also branded

§  We recommend that wheels be inspected a minimum of annually.

o   We check for defects by

§  MPI (magnetic particle inspection)

§  Go-NO-go gauges

·         These help us measure the gutter section grooves (lock ring and o ring grooves)

·         These help us to measure the gnerlings

·         These help us to measure the wear of the back section

§  Visual inspection

·         We use many of the OEM parts for wheel repair where applicable

·         We can repair wheels from 20” to 63”
